What is a Netherlands Visa?

Getting a Netherlands Visa
If you’re planning on visiting the Netherlands, your first step is to gather your paperwork. You’ll need a valid passport, airline ticket, hotel reservation confirmation and proof of funds (a bank statement or recent pay stub). Make sure you also have a visa application form completed and signed by all parties involved: yourself, the embassy or consulate where you’re applying and the Dutch travel agency that’s issuing your visa. Once you’ve confirmed your appointment and filled out the visa application form, take it to the embassy or consulate for processing. At this point, you’ll typically be given a receipt and asked to return in three days for an interview. During this interview process, you’ll need to provide more documentation (such as letters of invitation from friends or family in Holland) and answer any questions posed by the consular staff. If everything goes smoothly, congratulations! You now have a valid Netherlands tourist visa.
What is an Italian Visa?
If you’re planning a trip to Italy, obtaining a visa can be a daunting task. Fortunately, there are a few easy ways to get one.
The Dutch embassy in Rome is the primary point of contact for Dutch nationals wishing to travel to Italy. They can process visas for both tourists and business travelers. However, the embassy only accepts applications on weekdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm. If you’re not local to Rome, then your best bet is to apply through a travel agency or directly with the Italian consulate in your city of residence.
Italy has two consulates in the United States – one in New York City and one in Los Angeles – which can also help process visas for Italian citizens living in the U.S. The processing time for both consulates is approximately four weeks.
If you’re not eligible for a Dutch visa but would like to visit Italy anyway, you may be able to obtain an Italian visa at any Italian consulate or embassy worldwide if you have an invitation letter from an approved sponsor organization in Italy. This letter must state that you will stay within specific geographical limits and that you will not engage in any political activity while in Italy.
